Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
This policy is short because there is very little to describe. PixelForge is a browser-based tool: your images are processed on your own device and never reach us.
Your images
PixelForge has no upload endpoint. When you add a file, it is decoded, processed and re-encoded by JavaScript running in your own browser tab. Your images are never transmitted to us, never written to our servers, and never seen by us or anyone else.
Closing the tab discards everything. There is no temporary copy, no processing queue, no cache and no backup.
If your browser blocks the advertising script — or you use a blocker — the tools still work. That is the clearest practical proof that no image data is being sent anywhere.
What we store
Almost all of the below is kept in your own browser's localStorage, which means it stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
- A daily conversion counter, used only to enforce the free daily limit.
- A random identifier generated on your device, used only to count local usage. It is never transmitted.
- Your light or dark theme preference.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, email address and display name, held by Google's own sign-in library in your browser.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google AdSense to fund the site. AdSense may set cookies and read device identifiers in order to serve and measure advertising.
Google and its partners may use those identifiers to personalise advertising based on your activity elsewhere on the internet. You can review and change your settings at [Google Ads Settings](https://adssettings.google.com/) and opt out of personalised advertising for third-party vendors at [aboutads.info](https://www.aboutads.info/choices/).
We do not run our own analytics scripts and we do not build a profile of you from the images you convert.
Google Sign-In
Signing in uses Google Identity Services, which loads directly from Google. Your credentials are typed into a Google-controlled widget; we never see or handle your password.
We receive an ID token, which we use to confirm you are signed in and to lift the daily conversion limit. Without an optional backend configured, that confirmation happens entirely in your browser.
Children
The site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete any personal information we hold about you. In practice the fastest route is to clear your browser data for this site, which removes every locally stored value described above. For anything held by Google as a result of signing in, manage or delete it through your [Google account](https://myaccount.google.com/).
You can also contact us directly at hello@pixelforge.example and we will action the request.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
