About this jpg โ png tool
JPG and PNG solve different problems. JPG is a lossy photographic format with no alpha channel; PNG is lossless and supports transparency. Converting JPG to PNG gives you a lossless container, which matters when a downstream tool needs crisp text, flat colour artwork or an alpha channel that a JPG simply cannot carry.
How it works
- 1Drop your images in. Drag and drop, paste from the clipboard, or browse. Whole folders are fine โ the converter picks up every image it recognises.
- 2Tune the output. Pick a format, set the quality or a target file size, adjust dimensions, and dial in the colour. The preview updates as you type.
- 3Download. Save a single file, or grab the whole batch as one ZIP. A ten-second sponsored break comes first โ that is what keeps the tool free.
Tip: check the preview before downloading
The preview runs the exact same pipeline as the download, including quality and the size target. If it looks right in the preview, the file on disk will look identical โ there is no server-side re-encoding step that could change the result.
